The murders of Brentwood, New York teenagers Kayla Cuevas and Nisa Mickens in September 2016 shocked the community and galvanized law enforcement.
Cuevas was involved in a series of disputes with MS-13 gang members on social media.
So on the evening of September 13, 2016, several MS-13 members attacked the two girls with baseball bats and a machete, striking the girls numerous times in the head and body.
Cuevas’s body was discovered the following day behind a home near the attack.
President Trump invited Kayla and Nisa’s parents, Elizabeth Alvarado, Robert Mickens, Evelyn Rodriguez, and Freddy Cuevas, to his State of the Union Address.
Nisa Mickens and Kayla Cuevas, who had been close friends since elementary school, were chased down and brutally murdered by MS-13.
On Tuesday night when the President honored the parents of Kayla and Nisa and the victims of illegal immigrant violence the Democrats groaned and sat on their hands.
This was a shocking display – even for today’s Democrats.
