Colin Kaepernick believes NFL owners are conspiring against him to prevent the quarterback-turned-social justice warrior from playing in the league. Kaepernick has reportedly filed a grievance against the owners and hired a high-powered lawyer to handle the matter.
I am told that @Kaepernick7 has filed a grievance under the CBA for collusion against the owners. If accurate, this is huge.

From the Bleacher Report:
According to Bleacher Report’s Mike Freeman, the former San Francisco 49ers quarterback has filed a grievance against the owners for collusion under the latest collective bargaining agreement.
Per Freeman, Kaepernick has hired attorney Mark Geragos to help him in the legal situation.
Jason La Canfora of CBS Sports also reported the quarterback’s plan to file a grievance.
Kaepernick opted out of his contract at the conclusion of last season with the expectation he would find a new landing spot but has not gotten a new deal and has received surprisingly little interest compared to how well he played last season. He finished the year with 16 touchdowns and only four interceptions in 12 games.
CBS Sports’ Jason La Canfora reported last Sunday that Colin Kaepernick would stand for the Anthem if a football team were to sign him.
It turns out that La Canfora never spoke to Kaepernick directly about whether he would stand for the Anthem or not so he decided to walk back his original reporting.
The original story per Sporting News:
An interesting report about Colin Kaepernick from CBS NFL insider Jason La Canfora on Sunday’s “The NFL Today”: Kaepernick will stand for the national anthem if an NFL team signs him this season.
Kaepernick has stayed mostly silent during his free agency in 2017, only speaking indirectly through NFL insiders such as La Canfora, Cris Carter of FS1 and Adam Schefter of ESPN. La Canfora did not provide video or audio of his interview with Kaepernick, but the reporter shared his finding with CBS’ James Brown on Sunday.
Sporting News issued an update…
UPDATE: CBS Sports’ Jason La Canfora clarified that he did not speak to Colin Kaepernick about standing for the national anthem specifically.
He walked it back…
Wanted to clarify one thing regarding @Kaepernick7. When I was asked about his whether or not he would sit or stand for anthem …

Standing for Anthem wasn't something that I spoke to Colin about sat. I relayed what had been reported about him standing in the future…
— Jason La Canfora (@JasonLaCanfora) October 8, 2017
Reports about @Kaepernick7 standing for anthem had not been refuted. However, I cant say if they are true or not. Colin and I didn't discuss

I know @Kaepernick7 is fully committed to playing football and helping those in need. What he would do during the Anthem I do not know

Kaepernick responded to the “lie,” by quoting Winston Churchill.
