On Thursday, Omarosa Manigault-Newman released new secret recordings of her December 2017 conversations with Trump’s daughter-in-law Lara Trump and it was a big flop.
MSNBC riled up their audience by hyping up the impending release of new tapes from Omarosa and all it revealed was Trump’s campaign offered to pay her $15,000 a month if she accepted a job with the Trump camp to go on speaking engagements.
Omarosa claims that the offer was a “hush payment” since she was told she had to remain positive about Trump.
If an employer is going to pay someone to be a face of the company, or in this case a campaign, there is nothing abnormal about having expectations about how the person conducts themselves and represents a person or brand, but this is Omarosa we’re talking about.
“I saw this as an attempt to buy my silence, to censor me and to pay me off $15,000 per month by the campaign,” Omarosa said.
“You saw this as hush money?” MSNBC’s Melvin asked.
“Absolutely,” she answered.

Lara Trump issued a statement Thursday in response.
“I am absolutely shocked and saddened by her betrayal and violation on a deeply personal level. I hope it’s all worth it for you, Omarosa, because some things you just can’t put a price on.”
