President Trump ordered an extra FBI background investigation of Supreme Court nominee Brett Kavanaugh Friday afternoon. Trump’s order comes after Sen. Jeff Flake (R-AZ) made the request of Senate Republicans in exchange for his vote in favor of Kavanaugh’s nomination at a Senate Judiciary Committee meeting earlier Friday.
Flake’s request was supported by other undecided Republicans Sen. Lisa Murkowski (AK) and Sen. Susan Collins (ME), as well as two undecided Democrats Sen. Heidi Heitkamp (ND) and Sen. Joe Manchin (WV).

President Trump says Christine Blasey Ford's testimony was "very compelling" and Brett Kavanaugh's was "really something that I haven't seen before. It was incredible."
"But certainly, she was a very credible witness," he adds, referring to Ford. https://t.co/OZ1W7ZOMeG pic.twitter.com/OnzXiD7try
