The Associated Press is reporting Secretary of Defense Jim Mattis is expected to send over 800 troops to the US-Mexico border to help the border patrol deal with the caravan of migrants from Central America.
Mattis is expected to sign the order as early as Thursday.
It is reported that the caravan of mostly military-aged Honduran males has swelled to over 14,000 people as it marches up Mexico to the US border.
The DHS confirmed this week that gang members and other dangerous criminals are embedded in the caravan.
Migrants from the Middle East, Africa and South Asia have also latched onto the caravan, according to the Department of Homeland Security.
President Trump declared a national emergency Monday morning and announced that he will begin cutting off aid to Honduras, El Salvador and Guatemala as the migrant caravan marches through Mexico up to the U.S. border.
Sadly, it looks like Mexico’s Police and Military are unable to stop the Caravan heading to the Southern Border of the United States. Criminals and unknown Middle Easterners are mixed in. I have alerted Border Patrol and Military that this is a National Emergy. Must change laws!

Thursday morning the President said he’s “bringing out the military” for the national emergency, adding “They will be stopped!”
Brandon Judd of the National Border Patrol Council is right when he says on @foxandfriends that the Democrat inspired laws make it tough for us to stop people at the Border. MUST BE CHANDED, but I am bringing out the military for this National Emergency. They will be stopped!
