CNN White House reporter Jim Acosta swore at former Trump official Justin Caporale via Direct Message on Twitter Thursday night after Caporale teased Acosta for complaining that the music at President Trump’s campaign rally in Missoula, Montana, was played too loud. Caporale, former director of operations for First Lady Melania Trump, posted a copy of the DM.
Former TGP contributor Ryan Saavedra, now with the Daily Wire confirmed the profane DM came from Acosta’s account. Acosta has not commented on Twitter about the incident, but is still active and retweeting as of midnight CDT.
Acosta’s tweets about the music: “Tonight the Trump campaign/WH turned up the music so loud the press risers were vibrating. Nearly impossible to do live TV. I suppose the WH loves those kinds of shenanigans. But I wonder if it’s a security concern for USSS or local law enforcement. They can’t hear either…Here’s how loud the “technicians” at the Trump rally in Montana were playing the music after the event. They turned it up right before our live shot with @CNNTonight https://app.frame.io/r/79f7089e-ed12-4000-86a4-2bfdaadef44a …“

Below Acosta’s tweets is the YouTube video of Acosta’s post rally segment with Don Lemon where Guns N’ Roses ‘Sweet Child o’ Mine’ followed by the Rolling Stones ‘You Can’t Always Get What You Want’ can be heard in the background.
Caporale replied to Acosta’s complaining with a taunt that made the rounds awhile back mocking Acosta’s melodramatic reporting style, “Dear Diary…..”

Caporale allowed access to his account by someone else, the Daily Caller’s Peter J. Hasson, to confirm the DM.
