Murdered WaPo ‘Reporter’ Jamal Khashoggi was connected to Osama bin Laden and the Muslim Brotherhood. It also turns out he may have been related to Russiagate and he wasn’t even a US citizen.
In October, CNN criticized reports that Washington Post reporter, Jamal Khashoggi was related to Osama bin Laden. They said this was all talking points –
Corey A. Stewart, the Republican nominee for the Senate seat in Virginia, appeared on CNN Friday and told Anderson Cooper that Saudi journalist Jamal Khashoggi, who was killed inside the Saudi consulate in Istanbul three weeks ago, was “a mystery guy. He’s a mystery figure. There are a lot of things that say he was a bad guy … there’s a lot of reports out there that he was connected to the Muslim Brotherhood, reports that he was connected to Osama bin Laden.”
This has been a common talking point among some of President Donald Trump’s supporters, which is to suggest that Khashoggi’s killing matters less if he was aligned with the Muslim Brotherhood or once knew Osama bin Laden. Trump and some of his backers have been at pains to blunt the condemnation that has been hurled worldwide at the Saudi regime, and in particular, Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman, in whom the US administration has invested much political capital.
In late ’87 I had a scoop. I was invited to write about the role of Arab mujahideen in Afghanistan and I liked the idea. It was Osama [who invited me]. I knew him slightly in Jeddah. We were almost the same age. I liked his enthusiasm. He was very enthusiastic, very devoted. We are from the same generation, same background. I went to Peshawar [in Pakistan] and then I traveled inside Afghanistan. [I found a] very enthusiastic bunch of Arabs who believe in what they are doing, very proud of what they are doing.”
“I interviewed Osama. [He was] a gentle, enthusiastic young man of few words who didn’t raise his voice while talking. [We discussed] the condition of the mujahideen and what he [bin Laden] was doing to help them. I did not know him thoroughly enough to judge him or expect any other thing from him. His behavior at that time left no impression that he would become what he has become.”
But what CNN doesn’t report and what Khashoggi may have neglected to note is that when Khashoggi was with bin Laden in Afghanistan he was very much in sync with bin Laden, as noted in the Arab Weekly –
Lawrence Wright, author of The Looming Tower: Al-Qaeda and the Road to 9/11, couldn’t have imagined one of the other characters in his book was going to be at the centre of a huge political and diplomatic controversy, no less than the book’s central character, namely Osama Bin Laden.
The book was adapted for television as a series with the same title and tells the story of Al-Qaeda’s infamous attacks on New York and Washington. In one paragraph, Wright mentions a close friend of Bin Laden’s who shared the latter’s ambition to “establish an Islamic state anywhere.” That friend was Jamal Khashoggi. Both Bin Laden and Khashoggi were at the time active members of the Muslim Brotherhood and later Bin Laden would split from the Brotherhood to form with Abdullah Azzam Al-Qaeda, the most dangerous organisation in the world. Khashoggi, Bin Laden, and Azzam, were all the merry companions of the same extremist group.
On page 78 of his book, Wright quoted Khashoggi as saying that he and Bin Laden believed that “the first one [Islamic state] would lead to another, and that would have a domino effect which could reverse the history of mankind.” The noun phrase looming tower in the book’s title was taken from Surah An-Nisa in the Holy Quran and clearly refers to the attack on the twin towers of the World Trade Center in New York.
Khashoggi was no saint, he may be better described as a terrorist, as he was pictured with a rocket launcher on his shoulder in his article for Arab News in 1988 –
According to the Arab Weekly, Khashoggi may have also been connected to intelligence services –
9. One source said: “Jamal Khashoggi was in the end an intelligence agent in journalist clothes. If he’s not found alive, he would be the victim of a game where journalism and intelligence services are all mixed up and he had never imagined that one day it would turn against him”

Based on information that is now being reported, it looks like President Trump is right now to take any quick actions since his October 2 murder at the Saudi Arabian consulate in Turkey –
10. Our media will have you believe that Khashoggi was an American journalist whose death must be avenged, and by doing nothing Trump is somehow complicit in his slaying.
I think Trump’s refusal to take umbrage with Saudi Arabia makes more sense in the light of Khashoggi’s past.— Rising serpent (@rising_serpent) November 25, 2018
Also,it is now reported that contrary to earlier reports, Khashoggi was not a US citizen or even a green card holder. He apparently visited the US on a visa.
Finally, George Papadopoulos tweeted that Khashoggi was related to Russiagate. Papadopoulos claims that the professor who set him up with various characters in London that were trying to connect the Trump team to Russia, Joseph Mifsud, was on Khashoggi’s payroll –
Can’t forget this: Joseph Mifsud was on Khashoogi’s payroll. This was no ordinary “journalist,” just like Mifsud was no ordinary “academic.” That Mifsud-Khashoogi connection is much deeper than many realize. I witnessed it in London.

Something really stinks about Washington Post ‘reporter’ Khashoggi – not sure what it is – but something is not right.
It looks like attempts to sidetrack President Trump’s efforts with Saudi Arabia to stop Iran’s reign of terror in the Middle East by claiming the President should do something about Khashoggi’s murder are not working. The more we know, the more the President appears correct in not acting impulsively in this case.
