Investigative journalist Laura Loomer blasted executives of Google, Facebook and Twitter for lying to Congress about suppressing conservative content and censoring Trump supporters in an exclusive interview with The Gateway Pundit.
“More conservatives need to actually take a stand against social media censorship. It’s extremely problematic what is taking place and the lack of accountability is egregious quite frankly,” Loomer said. “You see that these tech giants, people like Mark Zuckerberg, Sheryl Sandberg and Jack Dorsey testified to Congress in September about the topic of social media censorship of conservatives under oath.
“They lied to Congress and they said that they are not censoring. But there is so much evidence that shows there is censorship of conservatives currently taking place.”
The conservative firebrand says she is living proof that big tech thought police act as gatekeepers preventing conservative content from being shared online.
“Whether it be the Project Veritas exposé, where you have Twitter engineers on camera admitting that they are censoring and shadow-banning conservatives, and laughing about it and celebrating it — look at the double standards.” she said.“Look at the double standards that I presented when I handcuffed myself to the Twitter HQ in New York. Why did I get banned for hate speech when I post facts about a Muslim congresswoman?”
Loomer, who famously confronts corrupt Democrats, was notified her account was shut down permanently after she tweeted that Muslim Democrat Ilhan Omar, who once married to her brother and is pro-female genital mutilation, is pro-Sharia law.
In a protest against social media censorship of right-wing voices, Loomer handcuffed herself to Twitter’s New York City headquarters for about two hours on Nov. 29.
On Dec. 3, President Trump hailed the NAFTA-replacing trade agreement, USMCA, he signed with Mexico and Canad as “great for all our countries.” Yet, USMCA reportedly gives tech giants in Silicon Valley a special legal privilege to censor his own supporters — and anyone else they find “objectionable” or “harmful.”
Loomer ripped the Trump administration and GOP lawmakers for allowing censorship of against Republicans and Trump supporters to persist.
“I don’t think that President Trump is doing enough. Also, I don’t know who is advising him on these matters,” she said. “Why is Trump signing off on agreements and why is he celebrating agreements that are calling for the censorship of his supporters? I don’t even know if he is aware of it. I don’t know who is going through these agreements and who is advising him to the point where that slipped off his radar.”
Despite attempts by Democrats and the corporate media to frame concerns about tech censorship as a “conspiracy theory,” there’s mounting, irrefutable evidence that proves Facebook and Twitter are employing algorithms to prevent The Gateway Pundit’s content from reaching your news-feed.
Internal research from Google leaked earlier this year confirmed that tech platforms have indeed “shifted towards censorship.”
InfoWars Founder Alex Jones has been banned from virtually every social media platform since August.
Meanwhile, Louis Farrakhan remains on Twitter despite a tweet with the caption, “Thoroughly and completely unmasking the Satanic Jew and the Synagogue of Satan.”
Saudi Prince Alwaleed bin Talal now owns 34.9 million shares of Twitter’s common stock, according to a recent regulatory filing, which is more than its CEO and co-founder Jack Dorsey who holds 3.2% of the company.
Hence, “its no surprise that people who criticize Islam and post facts about Islam and Sharia are getting banned and even jailed in some places of the world for posting facts on social media,” Loomer noted. “Just look at the management from these companies — it’s Muslim money.
“There are people online calling for white people to be murdered, people online calling for the President of the United States to be assassinated, there are pedophiles on Twitter and they are allowed to have social media access. Ask yourself, why is it that we are allowing for individuals who believe in ideologies and systems completely oppositional and incompatible with the United States constitution to have that much control?”
