President Trump spoke out on Twitter about his White House meeting Wednesday afternoon with Speaker of the House Nancy Pelosi (D-CA) and Senate Minority Leader Chuck Schumer on the border wall and the partial government shutdown, calling it a waste of time because the Democrats said they are still not willing to fund a border wall even if he compromises and agrees to fully fund the government for thirty days.
“Just left a meeting with Chuck and Nancy, a total waste of time. I asked what is going to happen in 30 days if I quickly open things up, are you going to approve Border Security which includes a Wall or Steel Barrier? Nancy said, NO. I said bye-bye, nothing else works!”

PBS’ Yamiche Alcindor reported Vice President Mike Pence told reporters Trump passed out candy at the meeting and calmly walked out without slamming his hands on the table as Schumer claimed.
Vice President Pence tells me and other reporters that President Trump never slammed his hands on a table as Dems said no and that Trump actually passed out candy and later walked out calmly.
