Rep. Rashida “impeache the m-fer” Tlaib (D-MI) announced her plan to file a resolution in the House of Representatives later this month to impeach President Trump. Tlaib made the announcement at a Capitol Hill press event with pro-impeachment groups By the People and Credo Mobile.

NBC News reported Tlaib also defended fellow Muslim Congresswoman Ilhan Omar (D-MN) during the impeachment event. Video by NBC also shows that after the Tlaib press event the impeachment protesters went to the office of House Speaker Nancy Pelosi (D-CA) where several activists were put in plastic handcuffs by Capitol Police.
CBS News quoted Tlaib talking about impeaching Trump at the press event:
“I think every single colleague of mine think there is impeachable offenses,” Tlaib told reporters.
“We may disagree on the pace. We may disagree that we have to wait for certain hearings,” Tlaib said. “But at the same time I think they know the dangers of allowing President Trump to continue to violate our United States Constitution.”

Tlaib will participate in a telephone townhall meeting about impeaching Trump promoted by By the People and Credo Action set for Thursday evening. The promo for the call does not describe any “high crimes or misdemeanors” allegedly committed by Trump–the Constitutional standard for impeachment–just that he is accused of being “unfit to be president”

In January, the newly sworn-in Tlaib drew national attention when she was seen on video vowing to “impeach the motherfucker”.
