The Notre Dame cathedral in Paris has gone up in flames according to various reports.
Photos and videos have surfaced of the fire from inside the building are so large that it has caused the spire to fall and the roof to collapse.

According to National Review, Paris Mayor Anne Hidalgo to steer clear of the area as emergency personnel attempt to contain the fire.
“A terrible fire is underway at Notre Dame Cathedral in Paris,” she said. “The fire brigade are trying to control the fire. We are mobilized locally in close connection with church authorities. I ask everyone to respect the security perimeter.”
According to police, the fire is likely a result of an accident that occurred while the cathedral was under renovations, however no true idea of how the fire started has been revealed yet.
