An angry pack of White House reporters heckled President Trump as he walked from Marine One across the South Lawn to the White House Thursday evening, yelling baiting questions about the mass shooting at the Capital Gazette newspaper office in nearby Anne Arundel County, Maryland that killed five and gravely wounded several others.
Trump walked across the lawn, not answering the heckling as he made his way to the Oval Office. Trump looked over and waved a couple times to the reporters, but did not speak to them. He made a remark and gave a friendly wave to a protective agent as he walked past a security post.
Here are the audible questions heard above the din of Marine One and shouting voices, transcribed by TGP:
“Any words about the dead in Annapolis?”
“Any words about the dead in Annapolis, Mr. President?”
“Can you talk about the active shooter in Annapolis?”
“Can you please talk to us about the dead reporters in Annapolis?”
“Mr. President, why do keep talking about enemies in the media?”
“Do you have any words of condolence for the families, Mr. President?”
“Why are you walking away?”
“Why won’t come you and talk to us about that?”
“Mr. President, do you have any reaction to the shooting?”…”Of course not.”
"Can you please talk to us about the dead reporters in Annapolis?"
“Do you have any words of condolence for the families, Mr. President?”
"Why are you walking away?"

Before he arrived back in Washington, Trump posted a statement of condolence that read, “Prior to departing Wisconsin, I was briefed on the shooting at Capital Gazette in Annapolis, Maryland. My thoughts and prayers are with the victims and their families. Thank you to all of the First Responders who are currently on the scene.”
